Route  Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi - Bakuriani - Borjomi - Rabat - Vardzia - Uplistsikhe 

Day 1: 

  • Arrival in Tbilisi

  • Transfer to hotel, check in the hotel

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

 Day 2: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • 10:00 starting the tour

  • It is time to explore Tbilisi city tour, visiting main attractions of the city:

  • Metekhi plateau with the view of Old Town

  • Rike park and Bridge of Peace (The glass bridge)

  • Cable car to Narikala Fortress – the main landmark of Tbilisi, ancient fort defending city and opening breathtaking views of the capital

  • Abanotubani (baths district) – the oldest district of the capital where it’s history starts from

  • Leghvtakhevi waterfall – beautiful nature wonder in the heart old city

  • Lunch time

  • Trip to Mtskheta – the first capital of Georgia

  • Visiting UNESCO Heritage places Jvari Monastery - a sixth century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. It is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO

  • Svetitskhoveli Church is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral, A masterpiece of the Early Middle Ages, Svetitskhoveli is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is currently the second largest church building in Georgia

  • Tour will be finished around 18:00

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3:

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • 10:00 starting the tour (time can be discussed with the guide)

  • Today we will have an exciting trip along The Georgian Military Road to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Georgian landscapes. During this journey you will visit:

  • Zhinvali Reservoir – picturesque water reservoir

  • Ananuri Fortress – medieval defensive fortress, built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.

  • Arch of Friendship near Gudauri – the monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600 meter cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains. Not everyone is brave enough to step on the very edge of the balcony, but the memories are sure worth it!

  • Kazbegi/Stepanstminda and its famouns landmark – Gergety Trinity Church – one of the most famous destination in Georgia. Stepantsminda is a small highland town surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. Everyone comes here to enjoy the view from the unique Gergety Trinity Church built in the 14th century. The church stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi

  • Lunch/dinner during this tour can be planned upon wish and preference of the guests

  • Once the program is finished, the guide will leave you in the city or drop back to the hotel

  • Return back to Tbilisi from the trip around evening time

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 4:

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • Moving to Bakuriani - a favorite resort in summer and winter for kids and adults, beauty of the Borjomi Gauge, is located at around 1700 meters above sea level. Bakuriani is known for days with long sunshine, for 2052 hours a year and long snowy winter from December to March. Winters are cold and experience sufficient snowfall while summers are long

  • Departure to Borjomi

  • Borjomi is a resort town noted for mineral water industry, the Romanov summer palace in Likani, and the World Wide Fund for Nature-site Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park

  • Visiting Borjomi central park with Borjomi mineral water which is particularly well known; the bottling of mineral water is a major source of income for the area

  • Visiting hot springs in Borjomi park

  • Overnight in Borjomi

 

Day 5: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • 10:00 starting the tour

  • Departure to Vardzia, passing Rabati fortress

  • Akhaltsikhe is a town in Southern Georgia, founded in Middle Ages. Its name means “a new fortress”, because the town’s fortress used to be the most important landmark of the region. In 1579 it was a center of a region of Ottoman Empire, then, during Russian – Turkish war in 1828 – 1829, it was brought back to Georgia

  • Now, the huge freshly renovated fortress of Rabati remains the main landmark of Akhaltsikhe. Its upper part includes the castle of Jakeli family, where the Museum of Samtskhe-Javakheti region is situated; there are also an Akhmediye Mosque, an orthodox church, an amphitheatre and a citadel.

  • The underground halls of the “mountain queen,” dug out of the solid rock, Vardzia looks like it was taken directly from the pages of Lord of the Rings. In reality it is a cave-palace-monastery built not by dwarfs, but by Georgians in the Caucasus for their fabled queen Tamar.

  • Tour will be finished around 17:00

  • Overnight in Borjomi

Day 6: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • Departure to Tbilisi via Uplistsikhe

  • Driverto Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-hewn town. Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 7

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • Check out from hotel

  • Transfer to the airport

  • Farewell to Georgia
