Route   Tbilisi – Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi - Borjomi - Bakuriani - Canyons - Kutaisi - Svaneti - Ushguli - Batumi 

Day 1:

  • Arrival to Tbilisi, meet and greet at the airport

  • Transfer to hotel, check in the hotel

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

 

Day 2: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • 10:00 starting the tour (time can be discussed with the guide)

  • Starting the tour from the Holy Trinity Cathedral commonly known as Sameba Cathedral. Built in 2004, Sameba is the highest church in Georgia, it is 101m tall.

  • Then we move forward to the old city, starting with the most famous areas called Abanotubani (area of the baths). Here we will visit the below landmarks:

  • Abanotubani – the ancient district of Tbilisi, known for its sulfuric baths.

  • Leghvtakhevi waterfall which is 22 meters tall. The name Leghvtakhevi comes from Georgian word "Leghvi" which means fig.

  • Narikala Fortress – you can notice this place from many sides of Tbilisi. Overlooking the Mtkvari River, Narikala offers stunning views on the city. You can enjoy a cable car ride to or from the area of Narikala.

  • Kartlis Deda (the mother of Georgia) – proudly overlooking the city, 20m aluminum woman is the symbol of the city

  • Then we continue to explore the city on the other side of the river:

  • Metekhi – historical neighborhood of Tbilisi, located on the elevated cliff that overlooks the Mtkvari River.

  • Rike Park – one of the newest parks located in the heart of Tbilisi. It leads us to the famous – Bridge of Peace - bow-shaped pedestrian bridge, a steel and glass construction illuminated with numerous LEDs, over the Kura River in downtown Tbilisi.

  • Once we take lots of pictures and enjoy the area of old town, we drive to Mtatsminda Park.

  • Mtatsminda Park is an amusement facility located atop Mount Mtatsminda on 770 meter height overlooking the Georgian capital Tbilisi. It is the highest point in Tbilisi. Located on more than 100 hectares. Park has more than 100 year’s history. Mtatsminda Park is the most popular theme park in Tbilisi.

  • Lunch during this tour can be planned upon wish and preference of the guests

  • Once the program is finished, the guide will leave you in the city or drop back to the hotel

  • Tour will be finished around 16:00

  • Time at leisure

Day 3: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • 10:00 starting the tour (time can be discussed with the guide)

  • Today we will have an exciting trip along The Georgian Military Road to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Georgian landscapes. During this journey you will visit:

  • Zhinvali Reservoir – picturesque water reservoir

  • Ananuri Fortress – medieval defensive fortress, built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.

  • Arch of Friendship near Gudauri – the monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600 meter cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains. Not everyone is brave enough to step on the very edge of the balcony, but the memories are sure worth it!

  • Kazbegi/Stepanstminda and its famouns landmark – Gergety Trinity Church – one of the most famous destination in Georgia. Stepantsminda is a small highland town surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. Everyone comes here to enjoy the view from the unique Gergety Trinity Church built in the 14th century. The church stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi

  • Lunch/dinner during this tour can be planned upon wish and preference of the guests

  • Once the program is finished, the guide will leave you in the city or drop back to the hotel

  • Return back to Tbilisi from the trip around evening time

Day 4:

  • Departure to Borjomi

  • Borjomi is a resort town noted for mineral water industry, the Romanov summer palace in Likani, and the World Wide Fund for Nature-site Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Borjomi mineral water is particularly well known in those countries which were part of the former Soviet Union; the bottling of mineral water is a major source of income for the area.

  • Overnight in Borjomi

Day 5: 

  • Breakfast in the hotel

  • Moving to Bakuriani - a favorite resort in summer and winter for kids and adults, beauty of the Borjomi Gauge, is located at around 1700 meters above sea level. Bakuriani is known for days with long sunshine, for 2052 hours a year and long snowy winter from December to March. Winters are cold and experience sufficient snowfall while summers are long

Day 6:

  • Legendary Prometheus who under Greek mythology stole fire from Gods was chained to Khvamli Mountain which can be seen from Prometheus Cave, one of the most colorful place in Georgia. Here you can observe stalactites, stalagmites, underground river and lakes, nice 1.2km walk in mysterious and cool atmosphere and short boat trip if interested.

Day 7:

  • Trip to Samegrelo and visiting Martvili canyon – the miracle of the nature, where you have the chance to ride the boats there with amazing waterfalls

  • Okatse Canyon is natural monument with recently built high quality tourist infrastructure – stairs, footpaths offering magnificent views to the canyon and its surroundings make a nice day out in the nature especially in spring when water levels are high and nature is in blossom

  • Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 9

  • The 'capital' of Upper Svaneti, Mestia is a sprawling conglomeration of at least 10 hamlets, dotted with picturesque Svan towers. The oldest of the hamlets, with most of the towers, are above the river on the northern side of town: Lekhtagi in the northwest, and Lanchvali and Lagami to the northeast.

  • Mestia’s excellent main museum is one of Georgia's best, with fascinating displays of church treasures, manuscripts, weaponry, jewellery, coins and historical photos, all labelled in English. The highlight is the room of wonderful 10th- to 14th-century icons from Svaneti's churches, fashioned in silver or painted in tempera on wood.

  • Ten kilometres from the main square of downtown Mestia, Latali is still part of the Mestia community. A few steps away from the main stream of tourism to Mestia-Ushghuli, locals promote it proudly mouth-to-mouth: ‘We have more churches than private houses here’, ‘From here there is a path that leads you to the oldest settlement in Svaneti’, ‘Latali used to separate Free Svaneti from the occupied Svaneti’.

  • Lenjeri is located between Mestia and Latali. It is very picturesque, but tourists don’t often visit, and life is just as it has been for hundreds of years before. You will visit village Soli for its beautiful architecture and village Kashveti to admire the familial church of the Udesiani family, with 14th century mural paintings.

  • Batumi city tour, visiting some of the main sightseeing places:

  • Europe Square is surrounded by beautiful belle époque buildings – renovated survivors from Batumi's original heyday plus new buildings in similar style. The square's musical fountains are a magnet for kids on hot summer evenings.

  • The Medea monument - In Greek mythology, Medea was a daughter of King Aieti, the king of Kolkheti in present day western Georgia. Medea helped Jason to steal the legendary Golden Fleece.

  • The Astronomical Clock also in Europe Square adorns the restored facade of the former National Bank building. A chime indicates the full hour, a single ring the half-hour. Apart from the time of day, the clock also shows astronomical information – the placement of the sun and the moon, the moon phase, the meridian and the horizon.

  • Ali & Nino The 7m-high, ethereally moving, metal sculpture Woman and Man, by Tamar Kvesitadze. The two figures represent a Muslim boy, Ali, and a Georgian princess, Nino, from a famous 1937 novel by Azerbaijani author Kurban Said. The tragic story ends with the lovers separated by the invasion of Soviet Russia. Alphabet Tower is a 130-meter-high structure the tower symbolizes the uniqueness of the Georgian alphabet and people. The structure combines the design of DNA, in its familiar double helix pattern. Two helix bands rise up the tower holding 33 letters of the Georgian alphabet, each 4 meters tall and made of aluminum.

Day 12

  • Mirveti waterfall is located in few hundred meters through a forest, but almost like walking in a fairyland! The trees next to the path are all covered with thick, dark green moss.

  • Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in Georgia. It is located in Adjara, in the Makhuntseti village. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Adjara – a real pride of local residents.

Day 13

  • The Botanical Garden of Batumi is one of the largest and most beautiful in the Caucasus region. Founded in XIX it is home to one of the widest varieties in flora in the world, covering 9 different geographic regions. The stunning panoramic views are a nice extra during the walk through the garden.

  • Many visitors come here not just for the sake of plants, but simply to enjoy a relaxing stroll in the lush green and quite surrounding. There are several places to stop on the way, view platforms, a café and even a special golf car you can rent if you feel too tired to walk.

Day 14

  • Departure to Tbilisi via Jvari

  • Jvari - the masterpiece of architecture Jvari is dated 585-604 cc AD. Located on the hill top near the town Mtskheta, it is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1994. From Jvari you can enjoy amazing view of merger of 2 different rivers: Mtkvari and Aragvi

  • Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 15

  • Transfer to the hotel and farewell to Georgia
