10:00 starting the tour to Mtskheta – the first capital of Georgia, where we will be visiting UNESCO Heritage sights - sixth century Georgian Orthodox monastery Jvari and Eastern Orthodox cathedral - Svetitskhoveli, a masterpiece of the Early Middle Ages.
After Mtskheta we will continue drive to Gori and Uplistsikhe which is an ancient rock-hewn town. Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.
On our way back we pass by Mukhrani village, where we will visit Chateau Mukhrani estate - the first and the only true Georgian Royal Chateau, which unites four key components: vineyards, winery, castle and history.
Wine tasting in the Chateau and tour around wine factory.
