Route  

Tbilisi – Ananuri – Gudauri – Mtskheta  

Day 1: 

⦁    Arrival to Tbilisi
⦁    Warm welcome at the airport, transfer to the hotel
⦁    Overnight in Tbilisi

 

Day 2: 

⦁    Breakfast in the hotel
⦁    10:00 starting the tour of old Tbilisi
⦁    It is time to explore Tbilisi city tour, visiting main attractions of the city:
⦁    Metekhi plateau with the view of Old Town
⦁    Rike park and Bridge of Peace (The glass bridge)
⦁    Cable car Narikala Fortress – the main landmark of Tbilisi, ancient fort defending city and opening breathtaking views of the capital
⦁    Abanotubani (baths district) – the oldest district of the capital where it’s history starts from
⦁    Leghvtakhevi waterfall – beautiful nature wonder in the heart old city
⦁    Sameba Cathedral
⦁    After lunch we will continue tour to Chronicles of Georgia
⦁    Depicting important scenes from Georgian history, the Chronicle of Georgia was created by renowned Tbilisi-born sculptor and architect, Zurab Tsereteli. Among other things, he was responsible for the abstract mosaic-adorned bus shelters that can be seen.
⦁    Tour will be finished around 17:00
⦁    Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3:

⦁    Breakfast in the hotel
⦁    10:00 starting the tour
⦁    Departure to Caucasus region 
⦁    Drive to Ananuri complex, a former residence of Argveti Dukes. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. 
⦁    Drive further to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for keeping different colors even after they merge. After a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain view point, at about 12:30 you will reach Gudauri, the mountain ski resort on southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains at the height of 2000 m above sea level.
⦁    Place offers a cable car; where you will enjoy the views of the skiing slopes and snowy mountains. 
⦁    The place offers sleds rental and professional instructor services. 
⦁    Tour will be finished around 16:00
⦁    Overnight in Gudauri

 

 

Day 4: 

⦁    Breakfast in the hotel
⦁    Departure to Tbilisi at 12:00
⦁    Visiting UNESCO Heritage places Jvari Monastery - a sixth century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. It is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO
⦁    Svetitskhoveli Church is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral, A masterpiece of the Early Middle Ages, Svetitskhoveli is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is currently the second largest church building in Georgia
⦁    Continue journey to Tbilisi
⦁    Overnight in Tbilisi

 

 

Day 5: 

⦁    Breakfast in the hotel
⦁    Check out from hotel at 12 noon
⦁    Free time before departure
⦁    Transfer to the airport and farewell to Georgia
